Choosing a delivery workflow

Google Drive or PhotoBet for event photos?

A shared folder can be enough when a client needs the whole collection. PhotoBet is worth evaluating when many attendees need a way to find relevant photographs within that collection.

Google Drive sharing information checked 5 October 2026 against Google’s folder-sharing documentation. This is a workflow comparison, not a claim of feature or price superiority. PhotoBet is not affiliated with Google.

Keep the folder when it already works.

If a client wants the complete set, understands the permissions and is happy to manage onward sharing, a shared folder may be sufficient. You do not need to add another service just to produce a different link.

The client's decision about who receives the photographs still matters whichever tool you use.

Test PhotoBet when discovery is part of delivery.

If attendees need help locating their own pictures, test selfie search with a small permitted collection. Give a consenting person the gallery link and ask them to complete the guest journey.

Check matching, allowed downloads and how much assistance they need. Decide based on that task, your workload and the actual plan limits.
